Well if you want to you should at least give it ago, who knows what could happen.
you could set up a service with a person or a few as opposed to a guild if you wanted or you could see if anyone in your guild would like to run with you, Thats how i got into it,Was in a guild with a mission runner, he though me,there was also a few other runers in it but it started as just a guild to hand out with. |

Here's some advice.
I was a part of the Original [LBS] guild, and in it's hey day. Dudes were making money hand over fist. You could literally name your price back then. But then dudes got greedy and started to do things against the EULA and were making "real" money through E-Bay for services. There are A LOT of people running around with FoW armor courtesy of the guild. Not earned, but bought. So what happened? Ban Hammers commenced, and the guild self destructed. That's the bad side of a money for services guild. You can't control what other players might do in order to make the gold. And ANET doesn't care whether you know about it or not if caught. Another thing is that other than Prophecies, there are literally no needs for runners. Now if you were to run a Mission/Dungeon completion service type guild. Then you still have plenty of customers around. If you wanna make this guild you have to be well rounded in all aspects of the game, not just running. Heroes have also killed the need to hire out people to do things too unfortunately. Another area you might consider as a market is helping people attaining titles. Either way, if you want to proceed, then you better make it quick. GW2 is not too far off in the future, and you want to have a solid reputation going into it. |
